The state legislative session begins on January 8th. For the next four months, state legislators will be making decisions affecting us all. Washington CAN members will be lobbying our legislators to create a secure health care system that works for everyone, every time they need it. Click here for our 2007 legislative agenda.

Throughout the session, we’ll give you updates on important health care issues being considered in Olympia and alert you to critical times to write, email, call and meet with your legislators.
We can’t stress enough how important it is for your legislators to hear from you. They rely on constituent communication to know how to best represent your interests. (And if you’re not talking to them, you can bet who is: powerful big money interests.)
So, this year, how about making a new year’s resolution to get involved in grassroots democracy? Whether your write, call, email, or visit, do it early and do it often. Start the year off right by joining us for a grassroots community lobby day. You’ll be glad you did.
