Solidarity with Immigrant Communities and Our Shared Democracy.
Washington CAN is committed to defending our democracy, constitutional rights of all people in our communities, advancing policies that reduce harm, and building the long-term power needed to create a Washington, where everyone can live with safety, dignity, and opportunity. Immigrants are essential members of our communities and are our neighbors, coworkers, caregivers, students, and leaders.
Washington CAN is proud to fight for policies, leaders and legislation rooted in humanity and due process, and for a state and federal budget that reflects community priorities. That means demanding progressive revenue, so the ultra-wealthy and large corporations pay what they owe to fund healthcare, housing, education, and prosperous futures for all.
One of the most powerful things we can do is ground ourselves in action; volunteering, sharing our stories of impact, canvassing, showing up to events, and engaging our neighbors gives us a way to turn concern into collective power. It’s how we build trust, strengthen community, and ensure the voices of everyday people are shaping the future of our state and democracy.
