Our Endorsements Reflect a Washington Where Everyone Thrives, but We Also Need a Washington Where Everyone VOTES.

WashingtonCAN members have spoken! We’re proud to announce our slate of community-vetted, member-endorsed candidates, leaders who share our vision for housing, healthcare, and justice. This year, we’re backing a Senate candidate, two House Representatives, a mayor, and city council champions who are building the future we deserve.

We need this type of champion support at every level of government, especially in our cities. Too often, local leaders in places like Seattle, Tacoma, and Burien have sided with corporations and special interests, forcing us into exhausting court battles just to defend wages, renter protections, and voter-approved initiatives. Instead of having to fight city councils to protect what we’ve already won, we need leaders who will stand with us and fight for more.

But here’s the fact: fewer than 3 in 10 voters turned in their ballots in the Washington August primary election. That means a small slice of Washington is deciding for all of us, and if we don’t change it, our communities will continue to be left behind.

Our endorsed candidates are proof that when communities organize, we can put people-powered leaders into office who reflect our values. But the only way we win is if we drive ourselves, our friends, and our neighbors to the polls. Together, we can elect champions who will turn our shared vision into action.
