1 in 4 Washingtonians Rely on Medicaid (Apple Health). Reject the Cuts. Protect Healthcare.
Federal proposals to slash $880 billion from Medicaid would devastate care access for Washingtonians. Seniors, children, and people with disabilities are at risk. We must act now to protect this essential coverage.
In Washington state, over 3.1 million residents rely on Medicaid (Apple Health) or Medicare, for their healthcare needs. This includes 38% of children, one in six adults, and a significant portion of nursing home residents and individuals with disabilities. The proposed federal cuts would not only threaten these individuals' access to care but also destabilize the state's healthcare infrastructure.
We can't afford to stand by, and while our solidarity in the streets is important, it's imperative that we also show up by contacting our lawmakers. Call, email, and write letters demanding they protect our healthcare as a human right.
Our collective voices can make a difference.
We can’t just continue to take to flood the streets, we must flood phone lines, inboxes, and mailboxes.
We must move action to impact and have our stories heard.
