On Monday, December 22nd, we invite you to come support Zahid Chaudhry’s federal habeas hearing. Zahid has been a WACAN member for over 10 years, a pillar to his community, and a loving husband and father of two kids under the age of three. Zahid is a decorated, honorably discharged U.S. Army veteran who was permanently disabled during his service for our country. He has been a lawful resident of the United States for over 25 years and served as a sitting officer of the State of Washington—yet he is imprisoned by ICE after over two decades of unlawful targeting. This hearing is to determine his release and bring him back to his family and loving community. Please come in support of Zahid, his family, and all those in detention. Please show calm, respectful support and bear witness to the proceedings. Your presence alone speaks volumes.
If you cannot attend in person, and/or want to further support Zahid, please act now by contacting our senators Patty Murray and Maria Cantwell, U.S. Representatives, and state legislators.
